Cool Blue Sun Glasses

Posted Monday, August 15 by CAG

Bob wants to know if these are sunglasses, welding glasses or goggles of some type.
These cool blue sun glasses appear to be from the 1930's. The tint is not dark enough for welding goggles. The side flaps could be folded in to "double" the tint, or folded out to minimize side glare. The octagon shape of the lenses adds to the visual interest. They were probably worn for driving.

Vintage sun glasses are very collectible (especially Ray Ban). These glasses are by an unknown maker but would still likely bring $60-$75 on the strength of their great look.
