Japanese Pitcher or Jug
Posted Tuesday, February 07 by Brian •
This reminds me of a Toby jug, but I can't quite make out the mark. Can you tell me any more about it, and what it might be worth.
Thanks, Cheryl
Your jug or pitcher is Japanese. I couldn't find the mark, but I've seen it before. After you know it's Japanese you can read the word Japan under the wreath better. The company that made this was trying to make it look like Lenox china. The cream color with gold trim, the raised design in the panels, and even the mark are reminiscent of Lenox.
If I had it, I'd put $10-$15 on it depending on size and condition.
