Reproduction Art Deco Waterfall Hardware

Posted Friday, March 10 by Brian

A while back I answered a question about cleaning this type of hardware on a Harmony House bedroom set. I said the owner should be very careful cleaning them (still good advice), because to the best of my knowledge, reproductions were not available.

A kind reader posted a comment, with a link to a site that has a selection of Deco Waterfall drawer pulls, including an exact match for the one posted.

I spend 2-4 hours a day online, and it never occurred to me to Google "reproduction deco waterfall hardware", before I wrote that. I just did, and there are other sites as well, that have a fine selection of Waterfall and other reproduction hardware.

Here are some things to keep in mind before you replace/buy reproduction hardware. First, check prices at multiple sites. I found this same pull at one site for $18.95 and another site for $9.95. If you are replacing all of the pulls, that adds up to a big saving. Second, pulls are measured from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole in the drawer. Be sure the size is correct, or you will be drilling holes all over the place.

Here are links to two sites, Rufkahrs and VintageHardware.com Both sites have lots more reproduction hardware available besides the Waterfall style.
